Paula Ortiz De Luna - Student Support Assistant

After completing her degree in the University of the Basque Country, Paula started her professional career in graphic design but soon followed her passion for photography, which took her to Madrid, where she worked for nine years as digital assistant and photo editor.

When she moved back to the Basque Country, she wanted to try new things and her career moved towards graphic design, without ever abandoning photo editing. She began to collaborate with cultural institutions and museums, designing temporary exhibitions for them, as well as informative materials such as posters, brochures and catalogues.

Eight years ago, Paula moved to Ireland to improve her English, to gain new experiences and to open doors to new professional horizons. Ireland welcomed her with open arms and she now considers it her second home. Always attracted to the field of education, she undertook a ‘Train the Trainer’ course which incorporated modules on Early Childhood Care and Education and Special Needs Assisting. She is delighted to start a new professional chapter, using her knowledge and experience to support learning in GETSS.
