Noreen originates from Limerick and she moved to Galway to study Tourism in GMIT. She followed this with a move to New York and worked for several years as a Stockbrokers assistant in Prudential Securities. On return to Galway with her husband and two children she worked for Eagle Star Life Insurance. She went on to have a third child and changed career paths to suit family life. She qualified as a fitness instructor and set up her own business teaching children’s fitness classes in primary schools and conducting ladies’ fitness classes by night. Once her three children were in secondary school, she soon returned to administrative work, but she had enjoyed the energy of working in a school thus sought a school administrative role. She comes to us after being the secretary of Galway Educate Together Primary School for 8 enjoyable years. Noreen is excited to join us as School Secretary and is grateful to be once again immersed in the ethos of a new and exciting developing Educate Together school. Noreen likes to challenge herself, completing marathons and partaking in cycling events.
