Sarah is a Gaeilge and English teacher with a background in drama. She studied in Trinity College Dublin where she discovered the potential for using applied drama as a tool for learning and creating. During this time, she worked as a drama facilitator, returning to Galway in the summers to perform with Galway Youth Theatre and Macnas.

After spending two years teaching English and learning Italian in Italy, Sarah returned to Galway where she completed her Máistir Gairmiúil san Oideachas (PME).

Before joining the team in Galway ETSS, Sarah worked in Firhouse ETSS. Here she discovered the profound impact and possibilities of using restorative practice in education. She went on to lead the school’s Ubuntu team and successfully set up and implement the school’s Nurture programme.

She looks forward to engaging students to reach their full potential with creativity, curiosity and open minds.
