A Restorative School

What is Restorative Practice?

Restorative Practice aims to build positive relationships and friendships. It also helps to deal with conflict and arguments, if they do occur, in a healthy way that moves us away from blame toward connection and healing.

Restorative Practice in our school

In our school, we use the RESPECT values to bring Restorative Practice to life. This informs how we think, engage, speak, listen, and approach situations in our school. The intention is to learn how to ask, listen and share in a way that honours a positive learning environment for students and all staff.

These restorative questions are used when things go wrong to work together and find a solution.

This restorative way of being builds skills for a happy and connected life. The aim is to support the wellbeing of our school and the lovely community it serves. We are continuously developing this practice in our school and we hope that we can all work together along the way
