Martin is originally from Dublin but qualified with a B.Sc.in Physical Education and Mathematics from the University of Limerick in 2006. He spent 16 years teaching in Loreto College Crumlin before moving to Galway Educate Together Secondary School.

As a P.E. teacher, Martin has always had an interest in sport and physical activity. Growing up, Martin’s two main sports were Gaelic football and soccer. When he finished playing competitively, he continued his involvement in both through coaching numerous teams. Martin hopes students can develop a lifelong love of sport and physical activity through participating in a variety of sports in PE class.

Martin has always loved Mathematics and believes problem-solving is a key life skill and should be encouraged in all students.

Extra-curricular activities are something Martin is enthusiastic about. He has coached soccer, Gaelic football, camogie and volleyball in his previous school and looks forward to coaching sport in Galway Educate Together Secondary School.
