Neasa Monaghan- Business, LCVP and LCA Vocational Preparation

Neasa is originally from Galway and began her studies in University of Galway studying Commerce. Neasa chose to specialise in Human Resource Management during her Commerce undergraduate degree, as it aligned closely with her passion for people, communication, and building inclusive spaces. Neasa spent 6 years coaching underage soccer, working as a head coach for the FAI. These experiences deepened her desire to work in education and support students both academically and personally, leading her to a Professional Master’s in Education at the University of Galway. During her Master’s placement, she taught in schools across Galway, gaining valuable experience. Following this, she moved to Wicklow, where she taught in Arklow CBS, as a Business, Accounting, and EAL teacher. Recognising the importance of supporting students from diverse backgrounds, she is currently completing specialist training as an EAL teacher. Neasa joined GETSS in 2025 and teaches Business, LCVP and LCA Vocational Preparation. Outside of school, Neasa has played soccer for 15 years competitively and was delighted to establish the school’s very first Under-15 girls’ soccer team. She successfully introduced the TY GAA Future Leaders course for the first time here in GETSS. She is deeply committed to student development both inside and outside the classroom.
