Extra-Curricular Life at Our School

At our school, learning extends far beyond the classroom. We believe education is about nurturing the whole person, and our broad programme of extra-curricular activities gives students the opportunity to explore new interests, develop their talents, and build lasting friendships. We are proud to provide a wide range of opportunities designed to inspire, challenge, and support every student. From the excitement of rehearsing for our annual school musical, to the teamwork fostered through our many sports, and the creativity encouraged in our Science, Maths, and Robotics clubs, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy and benefit from.

We are always grateful to our staff in Galway ETSS, who are committed to developing these additional learning experiences for our students. Extra-curricular activities not only promote physical development and wellbeing but also help students grow in confidence and discover their individual strengths. These opportunities enrich school life at GETSS, creating a strong sense of community, and providing valuable skills that last a lifetime. For those who wish to strengthen their study skills or receive extra support, our Homework Club provides a welcoming space to learn, collaborate, and achieve success.

As well as the morning, lunchtime and afterschool clubs listed below, our students can get involved in a variety of student leadership programmes such as Model United Nations, Green Schools and Student Council.

Below is our extra-curricular timetable for 2025-2026:
