James O'Brien (Applied Technology & Graphics)

James is a teacher in Galway Educate Together Secondary School and has been working with us since 2023. He is part of a great Technology department. He graduated from the University of Limerick in 2013 and has worked in education in the UK, the UAE and Ireland since qualifying. He has completed a postgraduate certificate in Leadership and a diploma in Mathematics and works as an examiner for the State Examinations Commission. He is a teacher of Technology, DCG and Mathematics.

James comes from a strong sporting background. He has played inter-county football and hurling for Leitrim and has won two All-Ireland volleyball titles during his own school days. He coaches volleyball in the school.

Personally, James enjoys DIY, farming and watching sport.
