Jill Aherne – SSA (Student Support Assistant)

Jill completed her MEd in the Psychology of Education at the University of Manchester in 2013 before returning home to study for the MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Since then, she has worked with children in early intervention settings, primary schools and as a team leader in rehabilitation services for adults with acquired brain injuries.

Jill was delighted to join the Galway Educate Together Secondary School team as an SNA in August 2020. She is passionate about inclusive education and empowering students to reach their full potential. Having previously worked as Project Manager for the West and North West on the Food Dudes programme, Jill also has a keen interest in healthy eating, nutrition and promoting this within school settings.
