Leanne O'Toole - Geography and English Teacher

Leanne embarked upon her academic journey at Mary Immaculate College, where her love for English and Geography first flourished. Building upon this foundation, Leanne pursued a Masters in Education at Hibernia College.

Leanne’s love for Geography extends far beyond the classroom walls. Being an avid traveller, Leanne believes in bringing the culturally diverse landscapes and cultures she’s explored into the classroom as real-world experiences, making Geography more relatable to her students.

Whilst teaching holds a special place in her heart, Leanne is equally enthusiastic about sports, particularly camogie. Leanne has played at various levels of camogie, competing in two Senior All Ireland finals in Croke Park.

Leanne loves sharing her knowledge and coaching expertiseat Galway Educate Together. She is committed to extracurricular activities in GETSS and is involved in coaching volleyball and basketball teams in the school.

Leanne is passionate about restorative practice, inclusive learning, and ICT integration in the classroom. She hopes to enrich the educational experience for all her students during her time in GETSS.
