Sinéad Conlon - Deputy Principal

Originally from Co. Monaghan, Sinéad joins us from Presentation College Headford where she worked as a teacher of English, CSPE and LCVP, as well as holding Department Head, Programme Coordinator and Assistant Principal positions.

After qualifying with a B.A. in English, Sociology and Political Science, Sinéad completed a Higher Diploma in Systems Analysis from NUI Galway. She worked in Human Resource Management before returning to NUI Galway to complete a Higher Diploma in Education in 2002. More recently she graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership and Management from Maynooth University, and a Masters of Education in School Leadership from the University of Limerick. She has led teams in the areas of School Self Evaluation, student leadership, literacy and whole-school subject planning.

Sinéad is passionate about inclusive education, empowering student voice and innovating in teaching and learning. She is delighted to be a part of the next exciting chapter for the GETSS school community.
