Gaelbhratach 2025

Tá muid ar mhuin na muice anseo i GETSS! Don chéad uair riamh, tá gradam Gaelbhratach buaite ag pobal na scoile. Bhronn Siobhán Ní Mhurchú ó Ghaelbhratach an bhratach álainn orainn inné.

Chomh maith leis sin, bhuaigh muid gradam speisialta darbh ainm “Beatha Teanga í a Labhairt”. Is gradam é seo don iarracht ollmhór atá déanta ag na scoláirí an Ghaeilge a labhairt agus a chur chun cinn i rith na bliana. Ní bhfuair ach 7 scoil as 150 gradam speisialta i mbliana, mar sin tá ríméad an domhain orainn!

Bhí scoláirí ón gcoiste Gaeilge, ár bpríomhoide Sarah, agus an múinteoir Gaeilge Chloe, a bhí i gceannas ar an scéim i mbliana, i láthair chun an gradam a ghlacadh.

Táimid an-bhródúil as ár ndaltaí agus ár bhfoireann as an éacht seo.

We’re on top of the world here in GETSS! For the first time ever, our school community have won a Gaelbhratach award. Siobhán Ní Mhurchú from Gaelbhratach presented us with the beautiful flag yesterday.

In addition to that, we also won a special award called “A Language Lives Through Speaking It”. This award recognises the huge effort our students have made to speak Irish and promote the language throughout the year. Only 7 schools out of 150 received a special award this year, so we’re absolutely thrilled!

Students from the Irish committee, our principal Sarah, and Irish teacher Chloe, who led the initiative this year, were present to accept the award.

We’re incredibly proud of our students and staff for this achievement.
